This
year, we are honour this Sleep Out in memory of Chris
Forbes of Lakenheath, who sadly passed away last February. Chris was a truly
passionate supporter of our Armed Forces and Veterans, dedicating his time and
heart to their wellbeing.
Many of
you will remember Chris for his unwavering commitment to homeless veterans—he
never missed the opportunity to show his support, camping outside Lakenheath
Co-op for numerous nights each year during the Great Tommy Sleep Outs. His
compassion and dedication left an indelible mark on all who knew him, and his
legacy continues to inspire us.
In
tribute to Chris, we will be sleeping out this year in his memory. At our camp,
you will find a poster bearing Chris's picture, alongside a memorial candle
that will burn throughout the night, a small beacon of remembrance and respect.
This
