How will you take part?
Individual
Flying solo? Sleep outside for one night, or more, and be part of the movement to support our bravest.
Group
Perfect for families, friends, Scout groups, youth clubs, Girl Guides, cadets and local communities.
Workplace
Whether you’re a small business or a national organisation, rally your colleagues around a shared mission that matters.
Why take part?
Every veteran deserves a safe place to call home, yet 1 in 400 are homeless. Your night out provides their way back in; to rejoin the society they gave everything to protect.
How do I take part?
It’s your Sleep Out, you choose the location and how you do it. You could choose to use a bivvy, shelter, a tent, or sleep under the stars, it’s completely up to you, as long as you have permission from the land owner.
When do I take part?
Sleep Out for one night or more anytime in March 2027.
What do I receive?
You’ll receive a free beanie after your first donation. Our social enterprise team embroiders these beanies and also prints and packs your fundraising pack. That means by taking part, you’re helping us to create jobs for veterans and people with disabilities.

“The cold really drove home the plight of some and reminded us how blessed we are to have options when things get rough…not everyone does.”
Andrew Taylor
“We took part in the Great Tommy Sleep Out, where the Scouts built their own shelters using tarps, cardboard, ropes, and - of course - plenty of knots.”
